TIME OUT ON BOOKING
When dances do not time out, you may register and make payment on the door, if places are available. For longer courses, there is always a time out on bookings, which is usually 7 - 14 days prior to any event. This is the point where Spideflower needs to tally numbers and prepare for the group requirements and content is fine tuned to the groups needs.
Deposits are taken on booking and hold your place for day dances, weekend workshops or residential courses, plus release any preparation and pathwork. The remainder will need to be with Spiderflower 21 days in advance of any course starting. After this, dancers are requested to pay in full. Deposits are non-refundable as they must cover base costs.
In the event of Spiderflower: Contemporary Earth Dance needing to cancel an event - all monies paid for the event, including deposits are refunded for that dance.
Evening & Day Dances: Full Payment is taken on booking. If you cancel, refunds less the base cost / deposit can be given up to 14 days ahead of the event. After this, payment is non-refundable.
Longer Courses: All deposits are strictly non-refundable for longer courses, unless Spiderflower needs to decline or refer your booking then deposits are naturally refunded in full.
Full Payment must be made 21 days prior to any event, unless requested sooner. If a dancer cancels prior to the 21 day threshold, course payments made are refunded less the deposit. Cancellation made on or after the 21 day threshold, payment is held in full.
Bespoke Courses: Bespoke events for individuals or groups require full payment in advance and carry a strict no-refund policy.

OTHER IMPORTANT PRACTICS
PREPARATION & PATHWORK
Preparation is designed to help a dancer get the very most out of any dance. It is an important element to Spiderflower's work as it readies the dancer on many levels. Pathwork asks the dancer to 'quest' upon certain elements of a dance and is given beforehand. This gives plenty of breathing space to reflect upon key elements presented, feel out and process the pathwork internally. Dancers who embrace the pathwork will find they can access deeper levels of a dance much more quickly.
Dancers must be aware that Spiderflower works to dance movement theatre based techniques and so works with according disciplines. Dancers are expected to follow the ettiquette naturally found within a theatre environment. Although the work is transformational - it is not a therapy form.
WORKING ON THE LAND
Part of our time is spent out and about on the land, allowing the body to be with, listen to and learn from specific places that are important to each particular block of work. Participants are expected to respect the natural boundaries of the place we are working from. (e.g. Observing National Trust Regulations and boundaries, remaining mindful not to stray onto farmers or private land, and being respectful and of any venues ground rules for both inside and outdoor work). Go to GUIDANCE for more detail. Dancers will need to bring along suitable outdoor gear and will be advised on booking.
