A sequence of six short, slow cinematic films chart a journey
through the nature of grief.
​
This is an interactive event specifically designed for supporters of the project.
​
Initially crafted within the constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic, A PECULIAR SHADE OF BLUE has continued development since 2020 as an ongoing, interactive film-theatre project.
To date it has screened as work-in-progress at CAST (Cornubian Arts + Science Trust), Cornwall, UK in March 2022, Scenstudion Gerlesborg, Sweden in September 2022 and FABRICA, Brighton, UK in November 2023.
This private online event offers a choice of screening dates and is specifically designed to give existing supporters who have not been able to attend an in-person event and have contributed either financially or in kind to the making of A PECULIAR SHADE OF BLUE an opportunity to experience the work as the project completes for ITERATION #1.

It is also a window for those who wish to support or host the project in its next phase.
Beyond this screening, A PECULIAR SHADE OF BLUE will be available to groups and organisations as in-person event only upon invitation as a means to develop ITERATION #2.

Suitable for audiences of 16 years +
AN INTERACTIVE EVENT
An extended structure revolves around the six short films (or STANZAS) which make up A PECULIAR SHADE OF BLUE, to invite audience members to engage in ways that can enhance their experience and support exploration.

PREPARATION: Walking, writing, gathering natural materials ahead of the event. Clear directives will be given on booking.

FILMS: Will be made available between 0.01 and 23.59 on both 4th and 18th February 2024, where audience members may view in their own time.

DISCUSSION: A space for our audience to reflect on their experience of the films and wider experience of grief will follow screenings. Sessions TBA on attendance.

LONGER WORKSHOPS: Day or weekend workshops in earth-engaged performance are to be offered at a later date for extended exploration.
